They have decent food. Pretty good, not the best and not bad either. My only complaint is the service isn't that great during the middle of the day. If you come here on a Saturday or Sunday morning it's fine, but come here when it's basically dead during lunch hour and you'll be waiting. I don't understand why cause there aren't really very many people but the servers seem distracted even though there is virtually no one here. I sat here for at least 10 minutes before they acknowledged my existence and there were only 2 other tables of people, so I believe there was no excuse for this. Also the other tables had to yell for them to come over so they could get takeout containers. My belief is when you have so little customers you should be that much more attentive, seeming that you would like to earn some money for the day. Other than that I would still come here, but I think I might stick to weekends only

My go-to diner. Great for breakfast any time of the day with all the usuals - omelets, waffles, pancakes, etc. Nothing exotic, good coffee with free refills. Also has good lunch specials and sandwiches. Very reasonable prices, friendly atmosphere.

This is a fun little diner. I did the "build your own breakfast burrito" and had a shortstack. All was delicious- pancakes are big and thick. Service was quick and friendly.

Service: Average Food: Good, but not all homemade. They had trays of packaged pre-made biscuits laying around. They use liquid egg whites out of the carton. The cakes on display on the bar didn't look appetizing as the icing was melting. I ordered the Monkey Hill, which was eggs on top of hash browns with chopped up sausage, ham, eggs and onions topped with shredded cheese and country gravy. It tasted very good. They did cook my eggs over hard perfectly. You could tell the shredded cheddar was pre-packaged. I like their sausage. Atmosphere: Divey, diner-like. You leave smelling like food. Why they have their dusty microwave on the bar is beside me. The front of the bar is dirty from everyone kicking it. The kitchen area could be cleaner; especially being that it is visible to all. Prices are very reasonable. Waitress never refilled my water and I had to ask for a straw. I'll probably go back since food is decent, prices are reasonable, and it's close to where I live.

I was in the mood for some breakfast so I decided to give this place a try. It is your typical greasy spoon neighborhood diner. You can tell that most of the people that frequent this joint are regulars. All the waitress knew most of the customers by name. They could immediately tell right away that I was a new face. But none the less they were still very friendly towards me. When I ordered my food I got the french toast combo. That entailed a couple of eggs, hash browns, 2 sausage patties, and 3 slices of french toast cut in half. The hash browns were good, and so were the sausage patties. The french toast was very good! I told the waitress that I wanted my eggs over medium. Guess what, they got it right! This is one of the few places in the New Orleans metro area that has got that right. Also the food was pretty cheap. Most of the combo meals were under $10. The decor is what you would expect to see at a roadside diner. Old billboards of businesses of a bygone era. They also got a couple of video poker machines off to the side. I still like the vibe of this place, it honestly feels like a real down home southern diner. In short this is a great place to go get breakfast and hang out at a country roadside diner without having to leave the NOLA metro area.

The food here is fine. If you don't want to cook at home then this will do. Service is just ok, walked in for the first time and no one greeted us so we just wandered aimlessly towards the bar. Still no greeting or instruction so we just sat down hoping that was how it works... Also this place is not 24 hours! Sometimes they are closed even when the open sign is on out front.

Went here on the suggestion of Danon H. and I'm glad that I did. It's basically your typical diner fare as previously stated, but with a few welcome surprises. First of all, you can get a Breakfast Bacon Burger w/ hash browns and eggs, which is what I got, for all of those of us who like a good diner burger but seem to only be at one in the a.m. Another great thing about this place is the omelette selection as well as the specials. The menu offers alot to choose from and everything seems pretty good here. The service was also pretty good considering that the whole community is still reeling in despair and picking up the pieces since Danon moved away. I'm sure the proprietors of many a local pub will be showing up here for a little comfort food.

I learned the hard way that being AA wasn't welcome. The food was good and I used yelp to find it, but felt the ice when me, my kids, my friend and her daughter walked in.... Painful and pissed was all I felt. We waited at least 45 mins for breakfast and it wasn't crowded, the crowd was steady. I wish I had found somewhere else to eat along the drive there, but oh well... Not trying to trash them but I would do what I could to prevent anyone else from going through the same emotions.

Much better than Dot's Diner - clean, fresh food, non-greasy. We enjoyed the open and bright atmosphere with a clean smell. The food was delicious - great hash browns. Waitress was young and inexperienced, but met our needs. My only complaint - no strawberry jam, just jelly. I will go back and take friends.
